Methyl hydrate should have been methane hydrate

The actual point of the statement is that Earth will regenerate either
type of natural resource. Pressures of 10E5 atmospheres don't occur
at all in the Lithosphere, not even deep ocean, so regeration of MH is 
unlikely to occur naturally at any faster (at least in terms of the needs
of mankind) rate than fossil fuels. Either way, MH can be viewed, at 
best as a temporary stay of our fossil fuel problem.
