ever change a rear-main oil seal in 2001 A6?

Audi typically depends on the dealership recomending a good will repair for
you. Dealers don't usually make those recommendation unless you've been a
good customer. If you have a good relationship with a dealer go talk to
them. If you don't have call Audi's customer service number but don't get
your hopes too high.

On the leak, be sure it is the rear main seal. Leaks at the heads or valley
cover can appear to be coming from the bell housing. Leaks from the chain
tensioner gasket are comon.

Good Luck
Jim
