 Is that the Auto Trans Relay in the fusebox that I
hear click when the Key is turned to Start?

Alex,
Have you considered that the automatic transmission
interlock safety switch
may be part of the problem?  It prevents the car from
starting unless the
gear selector is in "Park" (and, on some cars, in
"Neutral").
