I'd say ideally, bit longer, and to be "audically correct" it should 
incorporate a fuse - since it might have to support headlights, I'd say 
about a 30A fuse and 10 gauge wire.  Carry a spare fuse or two just in case.

In the earlier cars the relay is in the fusebox, at position #5.  If 
your '94 is different, perhaps you can find it, usually it is listed as 
the "Reliev" relay.  In the "past" they were usually 70A SPST relays 
with the extra large switched contact lugs.  Those are the two to jump. 
  The two that are in a "T" shape to each other.
