NEVER use teflon tape where stray bits of it can break off and get into oil 
passages.  And they WILL.  If you need a sealant, a trip to any store 
selling plumbing hardware and supplies will solve your problem.  They sell a 
teflon paste in small tubes, and it's FAR less expensive than the 
Permatex/Loctite version.  Clean the holes and bolts well and reinstall the 
paste coated bolts, torquing them to 10-12 ft/lbs.
