i was perusing chris semple's site like i do from time to time, seeing what
goodies he has (force5auto.com - awesome site and he has alot of cool stuff..
ive had positive dealings with him in the past and i would reccomend him to
anyone looking for audi stuff) and i saw that he had a '85 UrQ he had gotten in,
and it was in the "parting out" section.. from the pictures it didnt look
too bad.. white..zebra interior, a dent on the pass side. i asked what all he's
taken off of it and said mainly just the rear diff , headlight bezels and
some other small stuff, other than that it was whole.. i asked a price, he gave
me a reasonable price for the whole thing.. my question is, i dont know
much about Urq's but i had always wanted one.. are they "rare as hen's teeth"
as i was led to believe, or can they still be had? what does a running
driving example go for usually? Chris's Urq needs some bodywork.. are they even
worth "restoring"?? i was suprised he was parting it, but then again he is a
businessman, and rare or not, inventory that sits doesnt generate income, so
u gotta move it somehow. anyway, what do u all think? worth getting into?
any input appreciated...
and for those of you who want to see the car, its on his site ..
the other chris
