Camshafts specs

Hi there,
a week ago I analyze all cases that I have to change my cam specs.
Now I have a KG high compression engine (Euro version without Cat), which in
my case have extreamly high CR (too much head shaving).
I changed thermostat with 82 degrees celsius unit, and that slightely helps,
now I want to try with different cam setup.
As I can see from Huw's site (http://www.humanspeakers.com/audi/engines.htm)
My cam is one degree shorter on intake phase and 3 degrees on exhaust
compared to MC/NG cam. Also this cam is slightly advanced 4 degrees on
intake, and 2 on exhaust. I wonder what will happen, if I try to retard it
with these 4 degrees? It's Ok, but may someone tell me what degrees are in
Huw's table (camshaft or crankshaft)? I found that 1 tooth on cam gear is
about 8 degree on cam, so it is 16 on the crank, how much I must retard my
KG cam (1/2 or 1/4 tooth - additional sprocket slot) in order to cover these
4 degrees difference. Also I have a spare cam from HY engine (same as early
MC/NG), so it's possible to use it instead of original one. My final goal is
to reduce as much as I can dynamic CR of my engine, so it could get more
boost (now about 0.4bars).
