Anyone do a 1.8T into a 4000CS Quattro?

Huw, Mark, etc.,

I have a suspicion that the 1.8T wouldn't provide enough low-end torque to
feel as gutsy as the original engine. I know the horsepower/torque figures
listed for the 1.8T are impressive, but that doesn't always translate to
good drivability.

The more I read what I've written the less sense it makes. I wish I could
word my response better, but I'm at a loss.
