Anyone do a 1.8T into a 4000CS Quattro?

I dunno, the 2.22 in my 4KQ was moderately gutsy but it was rather
easily caught out. I had friends with FWD 4000's, which had what
amounts to the VW HT motor (100HP 1.8 10:1 compression, GTi
motor) and in the lighter car, it felt at least equally gutsy. I would
think a 1.8 T (driven my friend's Passat 4motion with it, and that's
ALOT heavier than a 4000Q) and it's got at least (really, more) as
much guts as any stock 4KQ down low and more up high.

It think if it's feasible, it wouldn't be a bad swap at all. If the swapper
intends to build big HP, however, I would think that the chassis would
need some reinforcement though. I thought the 4KQ was kinda noodly
to begin with (but I loved that car!)
