1988 80 90Q - lights problem (fwd)

Trying again; Spamcop keeps rejecting mails from my ISP but my ISP keeps

Walter, I'm no expert, but I've discovered that most of the lighting 
issues I've had in my 80Q are due to fuses. Have you checked all the 
relevant fuses in the fuse box? I also found for some reason that if both 
lamps that illuminate my rear license plate are out, I tend to blow a 
particular fuse which turns off pretty much all the lights in my console. 
Don't know why... so I carry spares of bulbs and fuses.

Folks on the digest have also mentioned there are certain wear points for 
the wiring harness (the one I specifically recall was in the trunk hinge 
area). However with my skill level, I start with the fuses first &:-).

The only other thing I can think of is to make sure all the connectors in 
the steering column got put back together and were de-humidified with 
WD-40. Probably not related, but it would be something I would check for 
myself.
