hard starting with no dashboard lights

The ignition switch most definetily,My buddy bought a '93 100 cs back in
July and drove it from Raleigh to Wilmington,DE with a bad ignition ie: no
electrics worked..106 degrees on the highway and driving while holding the
drivers door open with your foot was not fun but at least he was getting
air,with no radiator fan power then came an overheat due to slow traffic
around D.C.....Nothing like losing 1 lb. of body weight for each hour in the
car........150$ fix parts and labor cause he's not a DIY'er...
