Whoa, horsie. Before I spent bucks on opening it up,
and I was 90% sure it was carbon build-up, I'd try
on of the carb cleaners poured/sprayed into the intake.
Techron is good for the tank; I don't know about
dumping it in the intake. I hear GM makes a good
through-the-intake cleaner (that produces a smoke
screen). A Google search finds this:

I'd remove the plugs, crank the engine and spray the
stuff into the intake, spray some more into the
cylinders through the spark plug holes, and let it
sit and work its magic. If you get lucky, it may
dislodge enough carbon to get enough compression to
start the engine, which will enable you to properly
use the cleaner.
That's my "it's worth a shot".
