My 'new' CGT is scared of the redline. If in gear at WOT and it hits 5200 rpm it bucks violently like hitting the rev limiter in my 5kcstq. But if I'm in neutral, with my foot on the gas, just barely enough to increase the revs, it kinda bounces off 5200rpm, as seen in the video above.
I'm thinking this isn't a fuel delivery problem as it does it at the same rpm whether it's WOT or barely open throttle. I've replaced plugs, wires, cap rotor, FP relay, and prepump fuel filter. Maybe coil or ignition control module next?
It runs GREAT beside this, pulls hard all the way to the 5.2k cutout, definitely faster than my 83 CGT.
