Towing

Jonathan,
I had a car in an accedent which was very repairable about 12 years ago. I
failed to insist that it be "lifted" off the ground in some way. I left the
scene and the tow truck towed it dragging the rears. The damage incured to
the transmission, totaled the car. I came back to the scene the next day
and the evidence was skidmarks of about 100 yards from towing and then no
marks. It skidded and finally let go. A sad thing for me to see. 
The car was an 85' 4000s quattro.
