4k door handles (what else?)

Group: my ’86 4kis succumbing once again to a door handle issue. The right
front door locks and unlocks fine, and opens from the inside great, but the
trigger to open the door from the outside is just a bit lazy. Looking at the
bits inside, it’s all nice and lubricated, all bits moving nicely, but the
outside trigger just doesn’t move the little gizmo down far enough to let
the latch open. I didn’t see anything to adjust, as the rods are simply bent
to fit into the plastic parts. Any suggestions on how to get this corrected?
New parts?
