chirping cabin temp censor

The noise is probably from the little aerator fan that draws cabin
air into the interior temp. sensor.  I don't know about the urS4,
but on the '01 A4 it's integral to the climate control head.  You
cannot buy just the fan portion from the dealer (or anywhere else
as far as I could tell).  My '01 S4 developed a buzzing noise from there
only a couple of months after I bought it new, the dealer replaced
the whole control head under warranty and it's been fine since.
