Hi,

The power steering on my car has been acting intermittent and there are no
hydraulic system leaks.  Does anyone know if there is a filter in the
system?  The symptoms are that when it acts intermittent, I can feel a type
of pulsation in the steering wheel when I turn either to the left or right
of center.  I can't hear any noises that would indicate something at fault.
I suspect the pump but I'm not sure why it would be intermittent so I'd like
to find out if and where there are any filters that could be clogged and
need replacing.
