OCP here, too

Old, conservative and putzy here, too, and have AAA plus.

My goal is to work on my vehicles when *I* want to, not because they
"demand" it. (Yeah, I know Audi is the wrong choice for this.)

I enjoy doing preventive maintenance and upgrades - this is ELECTIVE - ,
but I hate getting stuck somewhere with a busted car - so I always get new
use-it-once fasteners, check and change the fluids and belts regularly (in
the relative comfort of my own driveway) and have AAA+ "just in case".
(With occasional singed offerings to the Audi Gods - usually deep-fried in
Pentosin.)

Anything I can do to reduce the hassle-factor is fair game, and knowing AAA
will drag my car home for free is a real bargain. Had it happen once on my
5000 - dead fuel pump relay, on a Sunday afternoon, 40 miles out. Bubba
showed up with a flatbed, brought me and it back to my driveway absolutely
for free, and was even nice about it.

Best Regards,

Mike Arman
(Audi V8 . . . it isn't just a car, it's an ADVENTURE!)
