German Cup holders

I think the '05 Legacys have cupholders in the center console, just
behind the shifter-
IOW, forward enough to be actually useful, unlike the Audi cupholders
in a bunch of the '90s cars that are so far back that you have to have
the armrest up to use them and you still have a hard time with them.
The Audi cupholders are also way too small.

The Audi cupholders in B5 and B6 A4s are way too small and
inconvenient. I used to use the one in the center console only- if you
use the one in the dash, you will eventually dump a whole cup full of
stuff all over the front of the dash, console, carpets, etc. I almost
did that once- fortunately it was only bottled water.
