The answer to: why does this fuse keep blowing?

The unlit dash lights caused by tail lights being out is a well known problem on the 5000 TQ. What threw me was the blown fuse. A burned out bulb wouldn't cause a blown fuse, so there must be some other problem. 

Were any of the bulbs missing, causing a short? Did you disturb any wires when you changed the bulbs, possibly moving the wire that was shorting? If fuses blew evey time a bulb wore out, I'd be changing fuses in my house every evening :-)
