4kq rear tie rod end boots.

    I'm redoing the suspension in my barely broken in '87 4kq (85k miles!).  
The rear tie rod ends are fine, except the boots are split.  Has anyone got 
any clever suggestions for replacing or repairing these?  The damn tie rods 
are ~$100 each; pretty expensive boots!

     Even if I could find tie rod ends that would be fine...

     Anyone every build new ones from scratch?
