Never, ever, ever use that 'tow hook' to tie your car down. It's not
made for that. Best bet is what everybody else has been saying. Get
yourself some ratchets (2000lb test) and tie it down on the bumper
mounts. Not the bumpers, the mounts. Two straps angled out from the
center towards your tie-down rings on the trailer on the front, and 4
angled out towards the rear. Make sure your rings on the trailer are
good for about 3,000 pounds each, though, so you don't have to worry
about your 5K becoming a projectile during hard braking. The ratchets
are expensive, but not as expensive as an unnecessary repair to two
vehicles.

Subject: need to tie it down - 88 5K TQ
I'm moving tomorrow and I have my 88 5K TQ on my trailer (dual axel)
What are the best points to tie it down? This is going to be about a
1500
trip it will see a lot of bumps and stuff.
Thanks
Britt
