4kq intermittent electrical problems after alternator/battery replacement

That was my guess.  You could try jumpering it with a heavy fused jumper 
and see if the problem goes away, before running out and buying one.

Do the headlights work when this probelm is happening?  They are on the 
LRR too.  So is the radio, I think.

However, I didn't think the radiator fan was...
