Need Advice ASAP *******

Hi Fay,

Who diagnosed that the head had warped and coolant had migrated into the
cylinders? If that's true, it would be blowing coolant out the exhaust,
that is, after saturating your muffler and cat, ruining it as well.

If I had that car, I would have the head flattened and rebuilt; that is, to
have the valves ground and/or replaced, lapped in, new head gasket, etc.
That and replacing the coolant system items that failed ought to solve the
problem.

Under no circumstances let no one send it or take it to TNT Engineering in
Kingman, AZ, for rework. That's a separate story.

Often times a good dealer will refer you to a local wrench(local to Phoenix)
that does good work on cars that they are not particularly interested in
working on or where their price(by the book) is simply too expensive. Ask
your contact at the dealer if s/he can do that for you.

Putting in a different engine without having it gone over with a jaundiced
eye can produce worse odds than you get in Vegas. You don't expect
perfection but you do want to know where it came from and what's happened to
it.

HTH.

Cheers!

Jim Jordan
