Well, apart from many "hack" type repairs to avoid actually having to
fix the problem, it can be done right. The hard part is getting the
roofliner out. Then you bring it to an auto upholstery shop and they
recover it with foam-backed fabric. Then you reinstall it. Or, they
could do the whole job, for more money, of course.
My 90Q's liner let go two weeks after I had cleaned and installed a nice
black interior. Little flakes of orange foam all over the place, ugh.
I used some bits of wood across the ceiling to hold the cloth up so I
could see out the rear, but it wasn't a "repair". It cost about $75 to
get the liner re-covered.
