Brian,
I have done this to both of my T44s. For $1 and 1/2 hr of work, is
almost unnoticable, and you will never have problems again:
Remove the rear molding strip.
Pull the backing material down slightly at the back.
Pull the fabric around the corner of the backing.
Push thumb tacks through the fabric on the top, through the backing, and
through the fabric on the bottom. Use 1 tack every 2 inches or so.
Replace the rear molding.
This method hold the fabric securely since it is effectively wired to
the edges. The tack points will hide under the rear molding. The only part
that will not hug the roofline is a small area above the rear seat that
amounts to around an inch of headroom. Start at the center and work your
way out. It is easy to correct loose areas of you don't get the fabric
stretched perfect.
