quick distributor question

That is correct, basically.

The geared shaft down the center that drives the rotor can be in any 
position, the body & cap simply have to be turned to to correct relative 
position.

I re-aimed the dist. on my coupe to make the two cap clips easier to get 
at.  And, I think, to make the wires lay a bit neater.
