Quesitons about backup VW Van

The new AMC heads are reported to be of better material than the og German
ones. I don't see much difference between the maintenance on a 88-90 Audi OR
Vanagon ( I've got both) less features (power mirrors,door locks,heated
seats, syncro) less to fix ..Not much  is  better than a Vanagon  for
