For fit and finish the new M35 is BETTER than the A6...and so is the Lexus
GS.

The A6, while nice, is a "resting on its laurels" vehicle in terms of fit
and finish. It's not bad...but the competition is on par and, in some cases,
nicer. 

I just spent the afternoon in these cars, the STS, and the RL. The Audi
certainly isn't as nice as the GS300 and M35. The doorsills are plain
plastic, the headliner is cheap, it lacks detailed stitching and trim on the
dash and doors....the competition has definitely caught up.
