4kq burned wire from wrong relay in fuel pump relay spot

Funny... you'd think that since they're all brown (ground) wires that
they could all be shorted and everything would still work fine since
they all wind up terminating on the chassis, etc and "touch" that way
anyway.

I too hate taking the dash apart on these cars.  I'd pay $200 for some
old video footage of how the people in the factory were able to hook
the damn speedo cable on car after car on an assembly line... that's
harder than putting an AR-15 assault rifle together in the dark and
under water I bet  lol
