Where is the reverse light switch on a '95 A6?

The switch is a multi-pole switch as it's also used to drive the
PRNDL lights on the instrument panel and the
tilt-down-in-reverse-outside-passenger-mirror.

It is located on the transmission, on the left side, BEHIND the
tranny mount!

In the Bentley manual for the 92-97 100/A6, it is in the
"4spd Automatic Transmission 01F All Wheel Drive" chapter,
section 37, pages 37-73 thru 37-78.
Removing the tranny mount is on page 37-39.

The Bentley procedure for doing this pretty much goes through and
sets up like you were going to remove the engine/tranny from the
car; you have to remove the tranny mount so you have to hold up
the engine/tranny while you do this!

I gave up and had the dealer change the switch.
$175 for the switch, $75 labor.  This was in year 2000.
Add 5 years inflation ...
