Stainless Steel Braided Brake Lines

On another automotive group I belong to (MR2 owner's club), those 
searching for improved  braking feel are currently focusing more on 
reducing flex in the firewall and the attendant movement of the master 
cylinder rather than switching to stainless lines. I observed that the 
master cylinder on my MR2 moves about 1/2 inch under normal braking 
force. It's been a little while since I had someone operate the brakes 
on my 5ktq while I watched but as I recall there was visible movement 
of the master cylinder/hydro booster combo.
