Toulene octane & gas prices

Thanks for the toulene info. I'm going to my paint
store and look it up.
However, I was hoping it would be a "cheaper"
alternative to boosting octane to normal/recommended
levels whilst buying the cheapest gas. But the price
difference at most stations between the 87 & 91 is
about 30-40 cents.
In a nutshell, I'll experiment with toulene to get
octane up to 93 or so(?), but I'm not going to find a
magic mixture that will save me $10/tank. Oh
well...like I said, more time on the Vespa, not a bad thing.
