I was surprised to read in a posting that the 96 and newer Q's have EDL on
the front and rear differentials.  During one of our New England snowstorms,
I saw a couple of newer Audis that couldn't make it up one of the local
hills (RTE8/RTE57 intersection in New Boston, MA).  I locked the diff's on
my 5ktq (with nothing special for tires) and proceeded to go around them and
up without incident.

Can someone explain the process by which the front and rear differentials
lock?
