Urq exhaust

I was looking at FLO-943044 3" offset inlet/outlet aligned but N/A in
stainless. I did not see the 942544 in the Summit Catologue - details?.
There is also a FLO-952549 which has outlets on the same side and is 2.5".
It is hard to find this configuration in a <13" muffler. It is tempting to
try a couple of those Tube mufflers that have a 2.5 I/O but only a 3" OD -
put a couple in line and do away with the curved muffler exits and just
replace with a curved pipe - I just don't know how it would sound.

I may have to have this done sooner than later and have the local muffler
shop do this for me - I was going to take the car on a trip before Summit
could have me the pieces, and then discovered the Muffler broke off just in
front of the mid-muff - bummer, since I was hoping to string this one along
a little more. Now I need it ready in a few days.

One thing I noticed about the stock muffler is the piping starts curving as
soon as it exits the muffler. I hope this won't present a problem with
making a custom one off system.

I wonder how that aluminized steel Exhaust tubing welds and how long it
lasts? Also am I gaining anything in going 3" back until the rear section
which is 2.5" - or is the diameter constrained to the smaller section so
there would only be marginal gain in flow by making the center section 3".

Also if I can make a factory fit Cat from the Dynatech powercat or ??? I
have a 2.5" freeflow cat in my garage. None of these seem to have oxy
sensor bungs however, so will likely do with the original for now.

I'm still open to ideas, but need to do something quick - quick as in grab
the Stebro Center section off "Project GTQ" the 4kq with NG engine. Is the
4kq center section the same as the UrQ?

I'm just about to order a CAC rear section for my Urq and will need the same
solution - a replacement for the mid muffler. It was my plan to buy a
suitable after market SS muffler and weld it up myself. When I looked
into this question a year ago (yes, I've been delaying a new exhaust system
that long!) I found a flowmaster model 942544 that might work. I was gonna
weld up a rear section also but then along came CAC. David Dertin Beaverton,
