Some do, some don't. The cheap ones have a single hole that
takes one-size diameter rivet. More expensive ones have a
removable head (with a little hex wrench) that lets you switch
hole sizes for different size rivets.
The lengths of the rivets may vary, but the shaft that fits
into the tool and pops is pretty standard, so one tool should
work with any length rivet.
Pop-rivet tools aren't that expensive. I'm guessing $10-15.
I'd buy it, not rent it.
