Theres more room than say a type 89 and weve all seen what can be stuffed into the front of those. That is a lot of parts though. How about if I use hood pins? That take care of the other conversion parts?

Brandon,
This is a straightforward procedure. However, you have to use the complete front end from the V8 for it to be a "bolt on" procedure. This includes the fenders, bumper, hood, headlights, radiator support, and any other little pieces I might be forgetting. Also, the radiator mounting is different, and the radiator support may need to be cut a bit to clear the engine. The 5cyl is longer than the V8. However, if you look at where the radiator goes in a V8, that's one hell of an opening for a huge intercooler!!!

So I saw a 200qavant on ebay and it has a V8 hood. Looks great, but is it really straightforward or are there some "alterations" needed? Seems like a worthwhile upgrade to me.
