I appologize Brett as it was a knee jerk reaction (maybe mostly jerk
on my part). However you have corrected spelling and grammer mistakes
of mine to the list which are absolute wastes of bandwidth (and
extremely impolite). My wife and I host two forums and the users are
very generous with their support. I understand what you are saying
about digests, but if it ever is finacial be sure to ask for support.

In the maybe 2.5 years I have been posting to and reading the quattro
list I have seen traffic fall off as forums tend to gain favor. I do
read a number of other forums on the subject of Audi and VW and I
enjoy them. I actually perfer the forum format, however this is where
I turn for answers 9 times out of 10. I value the maturity and depth
of knowledge the quattro list provides.

I am sure you see the irony in my discussing maturity after snapping
at Brett. The biggest thing that crossed me this morning was that new
members who don't understand Brett's way of communicating are likely
put off by the attitude and move on never getting a chance to
contribute to the collective knowledge.

I like the recommendation of an [ADMIN] email. I would even be Ok
with a quarterly email reminder of the basic policies as long as they
are kept very simple (no out of office, formating of sigs, trimming of
posts, etc).

BTW Brett. I almost always (including this thread) trim my posts.

I will go back to my corner now...
