autocrossing type 89's

I did a little more searching and the car was a '95 90q that finished 4th
in the Nationals behind 3 Minis, n/a not the supercharged ones. What I
like about the stock classes, and STS for that matter, is that I can keep
up money wise. When you start getting into the higher classes, there is
always someone with more money and I don't have the budget to run with
STI's, EVO's, and E36's. Competitive Street prepared cars aren't pleasant
to drive on the road at all and I'm not ready for another dedicated race
car yet. Might be time to buy some Hoosiers and go play.
Dave.

Well, if you're going out to win in HS, a bone stock type 89 will
probably not do all that well. If you're a very good driver and run
some good tires may do well. I personally would rather run in a
tougher class and be able to run better suspension and tires and have
more fun. That's just me though, I'm one of those crazy guys that
runs in SM and is going around turns sideways half the time. Not the
fastest way, but it is the funnest:)
