You don't need to take their first offer.  Get a few prices
of similar cars out of the newspaper or off the web (for your
area).  Show them receipts for recent repair work.  Make them
come back with a 2nd offer, or give them a number that will
make you happy, as "you'd hate to have to get your lawyer
involved."
