Wrong direction, IMHO, a sychro job on that trans is a complicated job
involving specials tools and some knowledge. And it's not just synchros,
it's a rebuild at that scale with bearings and seals. Gonna reuse a worn 1st
gear or replace with new? Most all of that stuff is dealer only too. 1600$
would be about right, with warranty to match.
But it's a 90$ used tranny, so just look at it as an inopportune time to do
a clutch and swap it with another used unit. Junk the old one and forget
about it.
