Did you claim it on any insurance policy? If so, it's likely to be stamped a
salvage title. In some cases that will require the car to be inspected by a
state authority(SP/DMV/title/whatever) to ensure that whatever "totalled"
the vehicle has been rectified. That may involve the state issuing a new VIN
for the car, and it would be branded Rebuilt. All this stuff will vary by
state(assuming you're Stateside at all), your local DMV will be able to help
with specifics.
