That doesn't matter. You're not compensated for what the car cost
you; you're compensated for its market value. I laugh when I see
guys get all bent out of shape because they claim X thousand dollars
in upgrades and whatnot. These are the same types who take KBB value
of their car, tack on receipts for upgrades, and that's their asking
price when the car goes up for sale. They NEVER get it, and this
rule applies to street cars and track/race cars too.
Further, if I change the oilo in my 200q20v (did two days ago, hah)
then put it up for sale, do I get $30 more than if I hadn't? Of
course not.
Are we done yet with this month's token "insurance company didn't
give me what I deserved for my old Audi" thread?
