You're not far off. I use a rubbermaid one-cup container with a
compressor attachment on my 200q20v. I discovered it was the perfect
fit for the hose coming off the MAF sensor, and you can pressurize
everything (only side effect of this is that you need to plug the
dipstick tube).
On a CIS car, you'll probably have to find something else. I've
heard you can find some caps at home depot and such that will work.
Don't pressurize a CIS car more than a couple PSI, especially on the
MC1's; 1.3 bar works out to just 4.2 PSI gauge pressure. Though a
quick search of the archives says the MC pressure transducer is good
to 2 bar (14psi), I wouldn't take it that far.
