Nology wires on a distributer system

are any of you using nology wires on a type 44 TQ (or any distributer
spark system for that matter)? I know they produce the best spark
available, but isn't a ton of energy lost at the distributer and rotor
and it is therefore negating any major performance enhancement the
nology wires may provide.... or am I wrong here?
