FYI, the KH motor did have a water-cooled turbo, but only for '85. It was a K26, but had a smaller turbine like the earlier oil-cooled turbo.

The vin is: WAUHC0441FN104092. I couldn't find anything conclusive enough in the Bentley to tell me what engine this is. About three spots tell me it's an MC1, varying from 158 to 162 HP. In one other spot, it tells me that it's a 130HP turbo engine. BTW, the Bentley also says the KH is 135 hp, and 140 hp. Not real decisive. Anyhow, I didn't check for the water cooled turbo. Where is the knowk sensor on these engines? Right below the distributor, If I recall correctly. Hope that's right. I'll probably go to look closer at it tonight. I'll try the crayon trick then.

What's the VIN ?

Is the factory "label" still in the trunk ( under the rear deck lid) ? It has both the
tranny and engine codes along with most other build info.

I've seen some wire brush and good PL ( kroil, JB80 etc) bring the engine ID up
fairly easy. Apply with elbow grease and then use a soft woodworking yellow
crayon to get the indentations to "show".
Always seems to work for me.

One "clue" is the knock sensor and water cooled K26. I don't think the KH engine
had the water cooled turbo.
