1990 100 Tranny and Steering woes

actually have the steel collar to center the cartridge in the strut.  I 
just went through this with a 5000CD.  I replaced the control arms, top 
strut mounts only the find it still wandered.  Only when I pulled the 
strut caps off I discovered that whomever did the strut replacment did 
not put the required ring in with the passenger side cartridge.  :-(  
The cap was holding things "tight enough" not to move when I 
pushed/pulled on the front end. :-((

Easy to check with the struts in the car.
