Hi,

I wasn't aware that steel is scarce right now;  however, that's not the main
reason that used parts suppliers like Dad's Audi Parts is crushing older
cars.  They're doing it because they can no longer afford acres of land
lying fallow.  I'm sure lots of other wrecking yards are still out there
with lots of old cars.  That used to be part of the fun for me, unless I was
in a hurry, seeing all the old cars lying around trying to figure out what
happened to them, especially the ones that looked like they'd been in a
serious accident.

And, you can guess who's supporting these moves, right?  All the people who
sell new parts.
