17" wheel/tire size for C4

Ya know, I figured Lee would know what he was talking about.

If I have time, I will try to fit my 17x 8s ET 35 with 235/45-17's on
my friend's 100CSQA, but I'd venture a guess they'll rub. The stock
offset on the C4 non UrS cars is 45, and in the case of Lee's later
car, 16 x 7 ET45 with 205/55-16's. Lee, what kind of clearance do
you have with the 16's from the steering knuckle. It may help in
figuring what would happen. One other thing, have you considered
spacers?
