[q-list] what would you rather have?

I agree with these guys about the 5 cylinder cars. I've owned a 12v V6 in a
'96 A4q and the 7A 20v that was installed in my old 4kq. The V6 was fine
but not terribly exciting but probably ok with mileage. As mentioned
before, they've got their problems. The 7A is robust as hell and are
capable of serious mileage. I would take a well maintained and not
neglected coupe over a neglected and rusty 90q. These cars are galvanized
so be wary of one that's got much rust. It probably means its had body work
that was poorly performed.
Get a good look at the coupe and make your decision then. I would
personally pass on a 90q in that condition. Fixing mechanicals is one thing
thats not cheap but body work and other neglect can be much more costly,
nickeling and diming you to death. Remember, when you're buying an Audi (or
any used car), spend a little more now and save in expense and aggrevation
later.
Just my opinion. Hope this helps!
